Ghostbusters Action Figures And Buildings

The news of recent days speak for themselves: the Cuban government wants to establish and expand at a rapid pace of economic and political ties in the international arena. However, this strategy does not appear to contemplate, so far, truly democratic and pluralistic changes in Cuba. Most of the contacts are pregnant they have very good democratic credentials, an example of this is the new Russian-Cuban ties. This revival makes us suspect to where the Cuban leadership would like to direct the future of the island. Establishing strong ties with the old Russian nomenclature, now grown into a powerful economic class, would grant the government of Raul not only an economic partner, but a political ally of weight in the international community.

is clear that the government does not want to risk their cards with a Hugo Chavez every day is more belligerent and without the slightest impulse control megalomaniac. For Cuba, the times of the constant confrontations are over, it's time to consolidate power. In this new context is hoping to secure the removal of the old guard with the appropriate positioning of their heirs. However

not think it is a good strategy would once again ignoring the needs of a people who want to live in a system with full use rights and freedoms. In Cuba we need a real opening, any other variant has a high risk of failure. Failure no doubt greatly diminish the chances of peaceful change and organized. We hope to be wrong and hopefully also the government Cuban can understand that the conditions of our country do not give much room to maneuver, we are very far from China or Russia.

Cuban reality.

There is sometimes difficult to understand the Cuban reality. Not surprising as the government with popular backing and a country mired in a great crisis is convincing many that has control of the future. Not only convinces many of the Cubans on the island, but also does it with many who live elsewhere. Every day we see multiple analysis that ignore almost completely the possible reaction of the people and the ability of this to take the reins sometime in the future. Why such pessimism?

I do not know whether this phenomenon comes as a result of the inertia caused by years of government droop or lack effectiveness of our actions. I think excessive divisions and mistrust that have so proliferated in Cuban society ended up becoming the perfect setting for inaction. We realize joint initiatives to move towards a solution, perhaps it is in our faces.

prefer to be optimistic, I think the solutions will come, just do not understand why we need to dilate a situation that falls under its own weight.

No change if full participation of all in Tibet Crisis

Something is moving in Cuba. Have begun to blow air of structural changes. Although, as we see, we're just at the beginning of a new era in our history. May be better if you try to do my best from the beginning. Save errors and relieves bucking change inseparable. It seems that the Cuban people, with patience and wisdom undeniable history, offers another opportunity to time the government has asked, once again, over five decades. Hopefully the new leadership of the State accelerate and deepen, without improvisation, and substantial changes are the only way to justify the time responsible bought and invested.

Many of us are very concerned about the content of the changes: if they are really cosmetic or structural. Others are very concerned about the direction of change, where we lead the reforms if it is step forward or back in time, as if that were possible. Others insist on the strategies and speed of change: how to "prepare" the people psychologically or politically, holding a gradual tension and urgency.

Some do not believe in changes to the same faces, and not missing the few who cling to immobility, the hollow wail accommodation or combative, fast echo in real life and no resonance the vast majority of Cubans that Harteros rub your aggressive language and decaying behind a table, even shared by calmer voices, and only shows a profound and undeniable weakness of reasons. So different from other languages \u200b\u200bmore serene, open and, above all, short. The tension does not help anyone. And such language and attitudes are not what Cuba needs.

now believe that Cuba needs a lot of serenity, much thought and study and patience clinging to the wisdom that "knows" that in times of change any slip can suddenly become a catalyst for violence anything useful for the move. The secrecy, mystery and the decisions behind the people do not help. It takes a lot of transparency, greater consistency between word and action and, above all, to respond directly and quickly to the growing expectations of Cubans.

why we want to focus our attention on one of the most overlooked aspects of any change. It is true that content, direction and strategies, language, speed and serenity are essential, but all of them, and any real transformation are determined by an element too often overlooked or postponed the: the protagonists of change.

One answer too quickly, and suspiciously obvious comes to mind for some: the government. We hear often: Changes, well, everyone knows what is necessary and urgent, but ... who puts the bell the cat?

popular view of this expression there are at least two attitudes: one, stun, which is expected to appear other than take risks and "can." Is the trap of saying. The other way to react positively to the question of "who?", Or rather, who? is offered to all Cubans Father Felix Varela, "first taught us to think" with their own heads:

"It is necessary that good men ... the true patriots are persuaded that now more than ever are obliged to be useful to the country, with the lack of an honest man, but with all the strength and energy of a patriot ... time to avoid the indifference of the best sons of the country ... the poor take up their positions and evil "..." How easy is fear resource! If a friend's house on fire, would it be prudent and friendship not to wake your sleep? ... and who are always saying, 'Who will put the bell the cat? Should we put it? ... Get in the opinion and just ... and perceive the world that the spirits are in agreement and then ... Scalded cat, flees from cold water "(El Habanero)

Create a" state of mind. " Here's one way to participate in the changes is available to everyone. It is very effective. With these and shared our views, in a free, friendly and calm, we can participate in to bell the cat, ie, we can participate as merely ordinary in the transformations they have begun. Is sovereignty from below. It is the first answer to who will star in the change: people, everybody. Indifference is the worst enemy of the hour.

still need to say more: We the people, all we are the largest and most effective opposition to peaceful mismanaged. In fact, what is happening and what will happen in Cuba, as elsewhere in the world has happened and will happen by the pressure of daily and urgent needs of the people. That is the most effective and persistent violent opposition. It is the greatest force for change and what can not be suppressed without attracting wide attention to the world that today more than ever have their eyes on us. The Cuban government itself knows. If not, why are the polls "opinion of the people?". If not, what are the panels and the battle of ideas? Why the peremptory desire that the image of Cuba is of complete normality, order and unity, uniformity?

can say is to educate, we can say it is for not to confuse, to prepare psychologically and politically. Well. Maybe. But that is not enough, everything becomes salt and water when every Cuban we face the morning after the agony of the daily struggle. This is the best barometer of social pressure: the voice of the people buried or flower street, as has become increasingly more tone and frequency. Something that can not endure indefinitely: the needs, hardship. Something that grows and grows until it is unstoppable start making real changes, deep, structural, not cosmetic. Something that does not depend on any ideology or party. This is what has brought us to this crucial moment and it will continue pushing. Let us look

around: college students who debate with a leader, applaud a young pear, vigils for autonomy or require deans and leaders, workers without wages due in the same state corporations, artists escaping or staying escaped, peasants that do not produce food because they do not receive their just reward, housewives whose battle of ideas is waged every day in the kitchen to figure out how to support their children, the elderly homeless and destitute patients who filled the halls of eternal repair dilapidated hospitals ... It is the force and the pressure of survival: age and main opposition of any government. And that's not a faction. Or mercenaries. Or annexation. Or traitors. It is the homeland.

But even if the principal actor, not just opinion and public pressure. Also part of this country that is all part of this nation that we all are the other three legs of the national table: the government, political opposition and other civil society organizations in informal groups, social or cultural associations , religious institutions, etc. These three actors complete the cast of the change managers. They are also the country.

would then have to stop and make sure we change some assumptions clear, accepted and made accordingly. We suggest six:

1. No peaceful change is made without the previous government. There you have it and this must yield to its entitlement to receive respect and do not cause social outbursts. Time is not unlimited and it is factor of credibility.

2. No government gives up, even giving his due, without pressure from the opposition and civil society, coupled with the public and in the same sense that this is marking out of necessity. Faced with new signs of the times, what new responses and initiatives provide the opposition and civil society?

3. No opposition party can put effective pressure if the primary needs of the people before their party programs. Play the vox populi, serve their awareness and their catalysis. And, also, to adapt their programs to the demands of such sovereign voice.

4. Any government gave to the same extent that the growing civic pressure. Are directly proportional. Nobody should expect a new step if no effort to require, but peacefully. Because violence paralyzes and abort any reform. We do not understand pressure and blackmail, but as a demanding and responsible participation of citizens as a sign of maturity and civic and political normality. A country without pressure is a country with no blood pressure. Do not give in to pressures corresponding to those legitimate pulse pressure and the social body can be a sign of rigor mortis in fatal rigidity. Yielding to the sound pressures based on the Natural Law is a sign of vitality of a system, not weakness.

5. Any change and transition is a process in stages. If we want peaceful must be gradual. If we believe in gradual small steps and do not discredit them before they confirm their effectiveness and accuracy. Validate touches all acting accordingly, as if they were true, until proven otherwise. It is the only way that gives us moral authority. The bucking - a few steps forward, some behind and some sideways-is inherent in every peaceful transition. No change was made in a straight line. It's a myth that we expose to heal the disappointment.

6. No people can live in isolation in today's world, globalization of solidarity, interdependence and neighborhood. Sovereignty is not abandoned because it is essential to the citizens and peoples, but also strengthens the suffocating closure on outdated nationalism. All exiles, in our history, have shown that live in other nationalities and cultures does not diminish but strengthens the identity and sovereignty. All exchanges are open to respectful requests of the international community are good. Collate lucid and responsible ways of living our political, economic and social standards to which you have positive progress The world today is best to be really sovereign and strengthen the identity as a people. Who closes and the rest of the world considers wrong can not recognize its identity because it has no comparison parameters, or mirrors of recognition, and encouragement to grow as people. Is closed and blinded, the light does not give anything new or better. We must distinguish between hegemonic blackmail and pressure based on international law. The whole world can not always wrong and always one nation in absolute justice. That does not exist anywhere. In the world of international relations today are based on two pillars: first and foremost, respect for human rights contained in UN Covenants that Cuba has signed, the second, interdependence and regional and global integration. Ethical demand these budgets can not be taken as blackmail or pressure spurious, but a duty and right of peoples united in their mutual responsibility.

A new stage opens in Cuba. For the whole country is time of opportunity. The protagonists of change are so important and crucial as its content, direction and methods. Indeed, some will be defective and maimed in the country's future if, in the transition process, lack any of the operators. Even the quality and feasibility, depth and democracy in a process of change must be measured by the diversity and role of the four players from the true and genuine lasting reforms: the state, opposition and civil society and empowered citizenry. Open all the international community. No change

full and deep without the participation of all. Not saying that nobody heard in Cuba. That does not say that no one was home ready to open its door to the future.

Here are some tools to wake up, open, engage and assess, as citizens, what everyone knows already brewing in Cuba.

Ideas For Loving Memorial Plaques

The student Néstor González Pérez is expelled from a Cuban university (Updated) News

1) Reading the article Néstor González Pérez Living magazine was totally convinced that we can do more to help this young student. We all remember when a month ago showed many voices claiming to help the student Eliecer Avila. Without the enthusiasm but collapsed when Eliezer appeared on television denying that there was retaliation against him and expressing full support for the revolution. It was evident the pressure was on him, but eventually the government managed to curb that the event took larger.

Although this time we do not have a video that became a journalism sensation at the time, if we have a Cuban who is being taken away the right to continue their studies for a way to express their views clearly and honestly. On the other hand we can be sure it is very unlikely to appear on television Nestor contradicting the spirit of his words and demands.

Nestor's case is not the first circular saw a few months ago a letter five cases . We can organize an effort to claim legitimate right of these Cubans to continue their studies. Claim to coincide with the recent signing by the government to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

propose that we begin to develop what actions we take, we use all available resources to help Nestor and the other children.

2) The University of Pinar del Rio ratified the expulsion of Néstor González Pérez

3) They can check the Miscellaneous page of Cuba Press Martí Youth Coalition they report on the student's return Yuri Perez Vazquez to the classroom, but it seems that other cases remained unresolved.

4) Here you can see the documents submitted by students in the previous case. The resolutions speak clearly to the political motives of the expulsions. In the case of Nestor have used the argument of "disturbing the peace of the class and lack of respect for the teacher of the Cuban Constitutional Law course."

5) This article is an excerpt from "A lot of terror and little blood" published by the network meeting in 2003 where he speaks of the expulsion of students for signing the Varela Project.

"The most recent case refers to the center-east of the island, where three students have just being expelled from university centers of Camagüey. The political crime they are accused: to be consistent with the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, in sections that can request changes to the laws by popular subscription of over ten thousand signatures. Roger Rubio Lima, Catholic and sophomore of Art, was dismissed on 23 September Camagüey Pedagogical Institute for signing the Varela Project. Same punishment was imposed on Harold Cepero Escalante and Yoan Columbié Rodriguez, fourth-year student of Veterinary Medicine, University of the province, who were driven higher education system last November 13 "

The visit of EU Commissioner Louis Michel and our need for more political.

If anything can we conclude from Commissioner Michel's visit is that there is an urgent need to do more political. It is clear that this visit is not just an isolated incident but part of a new strategy of the Cuban government. In recent days he was in Cuba, Cardinal Bertone second in the Vatican hierarchy. Subsequently signed UN agreements on human rights. We pass through Havana to Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Armando Guebuza of Mozambique, Angola to that of José Eduardo Dos Santos and finally to close ally Hugo Chavez. We also read about the journey of a large group of Dutch entrepreneurs who visit Cuba in order to explore new business opportunities expected to open in the island. Finally we read the news of another meeting of the Nation and Emigration which will aim to improve relations with several groups of Cubans living abroad, mainly those who do not have a critical position on the Cuban government policies.

I do not think we realize we need more data about what is happening. It is clear that the Cuban government has undertaken an active foreign policy to seek more support, both politically and economically to enable it to time your favor. But it is unclear how this new strategy targets set. One reason may be because you decided to start reforms and want help and support from the international community. Another possibility is that this promising change, but in the end not only meet and timid economic reforms implemented. If the reason is first, because this is a promising scenario, however if the second I think very soon the government will see demonstrations for amendment of the Cubans.

What can we do? Well, I think we need to do more political. We understand that the government is making promises and obviously our rights and freedoms are part of those promises. Therefore we must take a more active role and reclaim our participation in the political and economic life of our country. If the government of the island it is the international community expressing a desire to improve the economic and political freedoms to the Cuban people and a spirit of goodwill to reach agreement, we must accept the offer, but has not expressed to us us. What does accept the offer? He wants say that acting in a mature and maintaining a position of respect, but clear and direct, we will demand recognition of our rights and duties as Cuban citizens. The need for these claims should be explicit both the Cuban government as to foreign governments or institutions that have been part of the talks.

We can not remain mere spectators, we have and we must be part of building our future, that's the only thing that will ensure future stability in our country.

Using the same phrase from Chavez after he lost the referendum on 2 December, the South American crisis resolved "by Now ". The problems have deep roots and will continue to witness a steady pulse between Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. To have a balance of the incident we expect as they develop the following weeks. However what is clear is that the FAR has suffered a severe blow not only to lose one of its key leaders but by the amount of information that the Colombian government has in his hands after catching the computers of Raul Reyes.
worth mentioning that another important leader was killed in the week.

expel the young Néstor González Pérez

Today we read the news about the expulsion Néstor González Pérez of the University of Pinar del Rio by the simple act of writing for the magazine Living. It is sad to realize how much we have to go way. How is it possible to talk about an open and honest debate when you are driving young people from universities for merely expressing what they think? I would like to remind the authorities have left few talented young people feel that our country can do nothing to change the existing crisis.

When someone takes the risk to raise their views openly is because the spirit behind it is to renew and transform the current situation. These youth are those that can ensure a better Cuba. Everyone can understand then the case of Eliecer Avila, but said that the revolution is above all was now the same fate of Nestor. Too bad that the authorities continue to create that great generation gap every day weighs more about our country.

few months ago we witnessed the complaint another student.

PICTURES OF THE FINISHED MODEL ACCESSORIES & FURNITURE

These are pictures of the finished model, model railroads clear that as all know, the story never ends ... but it always continues. And a clear sign of this is in the details that are missing, both signals as active characters, addition of accessories, etc.
But perhaps most importantly, the history of this model does not end here, as the domestic authority has granted me permission to continue the journey This tended to two more levels up, but as this is a future project under consideration, I prefer to conclude with these lines and let time decide.
